Exciting News!
The Rebel and the Lady
my second book for Harlequin Historicals
will be a September 2008 release!
Two weeks before the eventful day at the Alamo in San Antonio de Béxar, Texians go about their everyday business unaware that the greatest dictator in Mexico's history is on his way north from the Rio Grande. But Victoria knows and must warn them. If only they will listen…
Jake Dumont doesn't care one whit about the fight for freedom happening in the Texas territory. All he wants is to find his foolish brother and haul him back home. Jake doesn't count on a beautiful señorita stopping him dead in his tracks with her illusions of loyalty to a hopeless cause.
Victoria Torrez must fight for the land that has been in her family for generations. She cannot abide the handsome stranger who drifts into San Antonio de Béxar on the eve of the rebellion-- no matter that he is charming to a fault. He's only concerned with himself.

My stories are set in North America in the 1800s. It may be a fledgling town on the coast or a cattle ranch in the Rockies or a dusty hacienda in Texas, but the difficult times and unforgiving landscape produced strong, determined individuals and colorful characters that persevered in the face of great odds. It also produced the opposite--the outlaws who snubbed society's rules and took what they wanted.

“Kathryn Albright tells a terrific story. Heartwarming, poignant and with enough plot twists to keep the story moving quickly, The Angel and the Outlaw is a book that I know I'll read time and again. Well done!” Kay James, Romance Reader at Heart; http://romancereaderatheart.com.
